Apple TV + is the company’s attempt to join the trend of offering streaming content. Its main focus is on new content created specifically for Apple + users. Customers can add this service for a monthly fee of $5. For a limited time, anyone that buys a new Apple phone, TV, or tablet will get a complimentary subscription to the streaming service for one year.
Those that do receive the service will have access to content created by some of Hollywood’s heavy hitters. This includes both filmmakers and actors. So far, the most popular show on the service is called The Morning Show. It dramatizes the action that happens behind the scenes that viewers don’t normally see. However, Apple is spending more than $15 million on the making of each episode.
Other original shows that are popular with users of Apple + include For All Mankind, a drama that shows an alternate history. The show was created by the same person who created Battlestar Galactica. The first season is currently airing on the service, and the second season is in the works. It shows viewers a world where the international space race is still underway.
A post-apocalyptic world is the premise of Apple’s See. Alfre Woodward and Jason Momoa are the high profile stars of the show. A virus spreads through the world, leaving every human in it unable to see with their own eyes.
M. Night Shyamalan even has a show on Apple +. Servant, starring Toby Kebbel and Lauren Ambrose, follows the story of a couple that set out to raise a baby doll after their human baby suffers a tragic death. They find a nanny to help them care for the baby doll, and the show hints that the nanny isn’t who she says she is.
Apple + isn’t all drama. It also features Dickinson, a comedy about the life of Emily Dickenson. This show is also currently airing its first season even while Apple promises that there will be a second season of it.
These shows are all driving Apple customers to purchase the streaming service. There are several ways that users can get Apple +.
